Bhana Photography was founded by Olga Bhana. Having been involved in the photography industry since 16, both in front of and behind the camera, Olga’s passion remained in capturing real smiles, tears full of love and hugs that are still warm, when looking back on the photographs.

When it comes to planning your next year, what is it important to you? To join a fitness club and stay active? To spend more time with your family? To visit certain countries because they have been on your bucket list for quite some time? Life balance (this is my one for sure!)? Mike and I prefer to have a big wall calendar where we can see who is working and when. Yes, we don't do 9-5 Mon-Fri office job. He can be away for 3 weeks, then home for 5 days and off again. Then, he will schedule a month or so to sit in the edit suite and edit-edit-edit until it's all done. As for me, I will be away shooting weddings on weekends and edit/grade images throughout the week when Indie is at kindy or after she's gone to bed.
I know exactly how many weddings a year I can handle at this stage without burning out and also, making sure that I deliver what I promise. It is also important to me that I am a present Mum who doesn't spend hours on social media growing my business. Yes, it is a big part of most of the business nowadays.

To get my stress of posting every day away and be on top of the things, I use @plannthat. It helps to see where I am at with my social media. It offers so many cool things, that I have never thought of!

CHOOSE your location wisely!
Are you after that beautiful golden hour light? You have only 2 options during a day - sunrise (EAST) and sunset (WEST). Also, if you are aiming for a beach session, I would also highly recommend to watch tides. Sometimes you simply won't have a beach on a very high tide. 😉
Parks, gardens, museums? I'm sure your photographer will know whether you need a special permit to have a session or if there're any fees involved.
Café? Awesome idea! But go and talk to the manager before the session to avoid any stress on the day. Yes, your photographer also can do this (well, I do 😉). Was it useful? Give me ❤️ so I know that I need to share more of this stuff. * * * * *
